Module Numbering in Zaris CRM
Zaris CRM offers a Module Numbering feature that automatically assigns a unique number to every record you create. Each module in the CRM can have its own numbering format, and you can fully customize the prefix and numbering sequence to match your business needs.
When you define a new numbering sequence, it applies only to future records, ensuring that your existing data remains intact.
Editing the Numbering
Customizing record numbering in Zaris CRM is simple. Follow these steps:
Log in to Zaris CRM.
Navigate to the Main Menu.
Click Settings.
Go to the Module Management tab.
Select Module Numbering.
Choose the module from the drop-down menu. You will see the current Prefix and Start Sequence.
Enter a new Prefix in the Use Prefix field.
Enter a new Start Sequence number. This will be the starting number for all new records.
Click Save to apply the changes, or Cancel to discard.
Once saved, the new sequence is applied to all newly created records. You can see the sequence in the Detail View > [Module] Number field. This field is read-only and cannot be manually edited.
Note:
Once a sequence number is saved, it cannot be reduced, regardless of record creation.
Newly created records will follow the updated sequence.
To start a completely new numbering sequence, use a different prefix. For example, instead of
INVfor invoices, you can useINV-OCT-2025.
