A Gantt Chart is a horizontal bar chart used in Project Management to provide a graphical illustration of scheduled tasks and milestones in detail. Gantt Chart helps you to plan, coordinate, and track specific tasks in a Project.

Accessing the Gantt view
Open the chart from Projects
The Gantt Chart lives inside the Projects module one visual workspace per project.
- Log in to your CRM account.
- Click the Main Menu icon.
- Go to the Projects tab and open the Projects module.
- Select a project in List View.
- Click the Gantt View button on the right side of Summary View.
The chart shows tasks and milestones with assignees. Milestones and related tasks appear as bunches multiple milestone groups can exist on a single Gantt chart.

View task names, dates, and duration beside a July–August timeline. Use toolbar actions to add tasks, zoom, print/export PDF, filter by date range, status, and assigned user.
- Chart tab active with Project Tasks, Milestones, Documents, and related modules.
- Drag bars to change start/end dates; slide edges to expand duration.

Actions Possible in the Gantt Chart
Add tasks, milestones, and filter the timeline
Along with viewing your projects’ details and progress, you can also do other actions in the Gantt chart. You can add tasks, or milestones, print the Gantt chart, etc.
Adding a Task
Did you suddenly plan a task while viewing the chart? You can create the task and assign it to your team with just a click. All you have to do is click the +Add Task button on the top of the view, enter the necessary information, and click Save.
Editing a Task
You have the option to edit a task from the Gantt Chart View. Clicking on the Edit icon for a record opens the edit screen, which displays the quick-create fields for that record.
Adding a Milestone
You can also create a project milestone from the Gantt chart. Click the +Add Project Milestone button on the top of the view, enter the necessary details, and click Save.
Business Days View in Gantt Chart for Task Management
- You can add Business Days to the Gantt Chart feature by selecting View from the drop-down to manage your tasks.
- Selecting this will display only the business hours in the Gantt Chart. Holidays and weekends won’t be displayed in the Gantt Chart.
- You cannot schedule or move tasks via the Gantt Chart for weekends, holidays, and non-business hours. This option is available only for Tasks.
- For example, if a task starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday, but for some reason, you want to push the end date by a day, you will able to move the task only to the next Monday.
Quick Create Project Task
Add a task while viewing the chart
Click Add Project Task from the Gantt toolbar to open the quick-create dialog link to the project, assign an owner, set status and dates, then Save.
