Administrator Guide - Progress Bar Module

Track, manage, and visualize user or project progress efficiently. The Progress Bar Module helps administrators monitor task completion, performance milestones, and workflow advancement in real time.

What is the Progress Bar Module?

The Progress Bar Module is a visual enhancement tool designed to provide instant visibility into the current stage or status of a record. Displayed prominently in the header area of the record’s Summary or Detail View, it allows users to understand a record’s progress at a glance.

The primary advantage of this module is its interactivity users can update a record’s status with a single click directly from the progress bar, eliminating the need for manual edits.

The module can be configured for any CRM module that includes a Picklist field, as the picklist values serve as the individual stages displayed on the bar (e.g., Lead Status, Deal Stage, or Project Phase).

This simple yet powerful visualization enhances transparency, collaboration, and operational efficiency across teams.

Configuration: Setting Up a New Progress Bar

To create or manage a progress bar, follow the path:

  • Settings > Other Settings > Progress Bar

Configuration

Once in the configuration area, the administrator can set up a new progress bar by clicking the “+ New Progress Bar” button and following these steps:

  1. Module Selection:
    Choose the target module you want to enable the progress bar for, such as Leads, Projects, Opportunities, or Quotes.

  2. Field Selection:
    Select the Picklist field that represents stages or statuses (e.g., Lead Status, Sales Stage, Ticket Status). The picklist values will form the steps displayed on the bar.

  3. Status Control:
    Toggle the progress bar “On” or “Off” to activate or deactivate it upon creation. This provides quick control without deleting the configuration.

Administrators can also edit, delete, or toggle any existing progress bars directly from the main configuration list to maintain or refine their setup as business needs evolve.

How the Progress Bar Works for Users

Once configured, the progress bar becomes visible in the record view of the selected module. Each picklist value appears as a stage on the bar, with the current value highlighted.

Users can instantly update the record’s status by clicking on any subsequent stage in the bar. The system automatically updates the underlying picklist field, reflecting the change immediately—no need to open or manually edit the record.

This intuitive interaction greatly enhances speed, clarity, and consistency in record updates. By visualizing progress and enabling one-click transitions, the Progress Bar Module turns routine CRM data management into an effortless, real-time process.
